A Life-Changing Reminder from Ibn al-Qayyim
No one will carry your pain the way you feel it.
No one can truly live your struggles for you.
Even those who love you deeply cannot take away your emotional wounds or stay awake at night in your place.
This is the reality of life.
So take care of your heart.
Protect your soul.
Nurture your inner world with gentleness and intention.
Do not give every situation more power than it deserves.
Not every hardship is meant to destroy you. Some come only to realign you with what truly matters.
When you break, it is you who must take that first step toward healing.
When life pushes you to your knees, it is your will, your strength, and your connection to Allah that will lift you again.
No one else can do that for you.
This does not mean you are alone.
It means that your power lies in how you respond.
That your healing is not dependent on others, but on your own choices, your faith, and your inner resilience.
And the beauty is, you are not expected to carry everything.
Do not carry the stress of this temporary life, because it belongs to Allah.
Do not carry the anxiety of provision and rizq, because it is written and guaranteed by Allah.
Do not carry the fear of tomorrow, because the future is in the Hands of the One who is Most Merciful, Most Generous, and Most Wise.
Do not define your worth by how others see you.
People are limited. Their perception is flawed.
Look inward. Check your soul.
If your conscience is clear, if your heart is sincere, if your relationship with Allah is intact, then nothing anyone says can truly harm you.
If you know who you are with Allah, what people say becomes irrelevant.
Because your worth is not measured in their words, but in the eyes of the One who created you.
So carry only one concern:
How can I please Allah?
When you prioritise His pleasure, He gives you contentment.
He honours you.
He fills your heart with what no one else can offer.
He provides, He protects, and He replaces everything you have lost with something far better.
If this life has made you cry, do not despair.
Lift your hands and say,
“O Allah, compensate me with good in this life and in the Hereafter.”
Know that your sadness dissolves in sujood.
Your healing begins in a sincere du‘ā.
Your comfort arrives when you remember that Allah sees everything you do.
He does not forget the kindness you show, even if no one else sees it.
He does not overlook the pain you ease for others, even when your own heart is hurting.
He remembers the tear that nearly fell, but you held back and smiled instead.
So live your life by this principle:
Be good, even if you do not receive good in return.
Do it not for people, not for validation, but for Allah.
Because Allah loves those who do good, and that alone is enough reason to keep going.
Let this be your anchor.
Let this be your strength.
And let this reminder guide you through whatever life brings.
