Al-Razzāq – The Provider, The Sustainer of All
Al-Razzāq – The Provider, The Sustainer of All
Al-Razzāq is the One who provides for every creation, in every moment, in ways we can see and in ways we cannot. His provision is not limited to wealth or food - it includes health, guidance, opportunities, relationships, love, and even the skills and abilities we have. Nothing escapes His care, and He ensures that every living being receives what it truly needs.
Unlike human provision, which can be unpredictable or unfair, Allah’s provision is perfect, timely, and just. Sometimes what we perceive as “lack” is simply a part of His wisdom in providing the best for us. Trusting Al-Razzāq means believing that every hardship, delay, or “closed door” may be part of a greater plan where He is sustaining us in ways we cannot yet understand.
This name reminds us to surrender our anxieties about the future, careers, relationships, or daily needs. It encourages us to rely on Allah fully, work sincerely, and have faith that He is the ultimate Provider who never fails. Even small, unseen provisions, like the strength to face a challenge or the guidance to make a good choice, are His gifts.
Reflection for today:
What provisions am I grateful for that I often take for granted?
In moments of worry, can I pause and trust that Allah, Al-Razzāq, is sustaining me?
How can I use the blessings He has provided to benefit myself and others?
A Du‘ā to repeat throughout the day today:
“Ya Razzāq, grant me provision that is good for me in this life and the next. Help me recognise Your blessings, trust in Your timing, and use what You have given me in ways that please You.”
Remember: Al-Razzāq’s sustenance reaches every corner of your life, and trusting Him opens your heart to gratitude, contentment, and peace.
