The Power of Intuition: A Gift from Allah

When you build a deep and sincere connection with Allah, something within you begins to change quietly. Your heart becomes softer, more aware, more alive. What many people call intuition is not something random or mystical. It is a gift from Allah. It is the heart responding to His guidance. It is your soul recognising truth before your mind can explain it.

As you draw closer to Allah through dhikr, Salaah, reflection and honest conversations with Him, your heart becomes more purified. And when the heart is purified, it begins to see clearly. You start noticing things you once ignored. You feel subtle warnings. You sense when something is off even if everything looks fine on the surface. And you feel peace when something is aligned even if it feels unfamiliar or scary.

This clarity does not come from being perfect. It comes from turning back to Allah again and again. Sin, distractions and attachment to the dunya cloud the heart. They dull its ability to recognise what is good for it. But when Allah becomes your priority, your inner compass slowly realigns. You begin to feel discomfort in places that drain your soul. You feel heaviness around people or situations that pull you away from Him. And you feel lightness and ease in what brings you closer to Him even when it requires patience or sacrifice.

Allah protects His servants in ways we often only understand later. Sometimes protection looks like a door not opening. Sometimes it feels like hesitation when you thought you were ready. Sometimes it is a deep unease you cannot explain or a situation that keeps falling apart no matter how much you try to force it. In those moments, pause. Do not rush past the feeling. Sit with it. Ask Allah to show you what you cannot yet see. That feeling may be His mercy surrounding you.

Your intuition is not meant to replace du’ā or tawakkul. It is meant to work alongside them. It is a reminder to slow down, to reflect, to seek Allah before taking the next step. When something does not feel right, it is not a sign of weakness. It is often a sign that Allah is steering you away from harm you are not meant to endure.

And when something feels peaceful even if it scares you, trust that too. Allah places tranquillity in the heart when a path is meant for you. Not because it will be easy, but because He will be with you through it.

The more you walk towards Allah, the more He takes care of what concerns you. He guides your steps, guards your heart, and teaches you to recognise His signs in the quiet moments. The one who places their trust in Allah is never abandoned. They are always being led, protected and held even when they do not realise it yet.
