Leave the Chaos, Choose the Creator
Not everyone around you is meant to stay close to your heart. Some people drain you quietly. Not with loud arguments or big betrayals, but with constant doubt, criticism, or subtle control. You find yourself walking on eggshells, questioning your worth, replaying conversations, and second-guessing your every move.
And when you stay too long in these draining spaces, you begin to feel distant from Allah. You feel distracted in your salah. Heavy in your dhikr. Foggy in your du‘ā. You may even start to wonder what’s wrong with you.
But often, what you are experiencing isn’t just emotional exhaustion. It’s waswasa at work. Shaytaan feeds on your vulnerability. Your Qareen amplifies your insecurities. They thrive in spaces of emotional chaos. The more overwhelmed and disconnected you are, the easier it becomes to plant thoughts that whisper:
“You’re not good enough.”
“Allah is not listening to you.”
“Your worship is not sincere.”
This is how waswasa takes root.
But here’s the turning point:
When you disconnect from what drains you, you make space to reconnect with what strengthens you.
And there is no strength like the nearness of Allah.
No peace like the peace of His remembrance.
Letting go of people who dim your heart is not selfish. It is sacred. You were not created to carry everyone’s expectations. You were created to remember your Lord. And your heart is too precious to be handed over to those who only teach it fear, self-doubt, and confusion.
Sometimes, clarity comes not from fixing everything around you, but by simply walking away from what is not good for your soul. You silence waswasa by choosing peace. You weaken its grip by choosing Allah again and again.
Say:
A‘ūdhu billāhi min ash-Shayṭān ir-Rajīm.
Sit with the Qur’ān.
Do dhikr slowly and intentionally.
Speak to Allah with your whole heart.
The more you surround yourself with peace, the less room Shaytaan has to whisper.
Ya Allah, remove from my life what distracts me from You. Protect me from people and patterns that open the door to waswasa. Fill my heart with remembrance, truth, and clarity. And make You my safest place to return to.
